Farm Life Awaits Two Friends
George and Alvin, community cats from different areas in Rhode Island, formed an unexpected friendship during their time with us. Though both cats prefer to keep their distance from people, they found comfort in each other’s company. Fortune smiled on this pair when a family offered them a home together on a very luxurious farm. Their new residence provides plenty of space to roam and caring owners who understand their need for independence. This wonderful outcome gives two formerly struggling cats a fresh start in a setting perfect for their personalities.
Lost Cats Return Home
Our persistent efforts to locate two cats who fled during a house fire finally paid off. After weeks of strategic planning with camera traps and countless hours of patient waiting, both cats were successfully recovered. The reunion with their anxious owners brought tears of joy and relief. These successful recoveries remind us why we never give up on finding lost pets.
New Faces Join Our Care
During our search for the fire-displaced cats, we encountered other felines in need of assistance. Georgette, a striking tiger cat, arrived with her four solid black kittens, each about eight weeks old. The contrast between mother and kittens creates quite a charming picture. Georgette received comprehensive care including spay surgery, vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. While she prepares for adoption, her kittens remain in foster care where they gradually learn to trust humans.
We also met Zoom at the house fire location. Though timid, this sweet cat shows potential for companionship. After confirming no one claimed him as a lost pet, he received complete medical care including neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and deworming treatment. A local shelter has shown interest in helping Zoom find his forever home. We hope he finds his new home quickly.
In Pawtucket, we encountered Stella at a location where 22 cats have previously been found. The timing of her rescue proved crucial, as she gave birth to four kittens the very next day. After caring for her newborns, Stella received spay surgery to prevent future pregnancies. Given her independent nature, we’re exploring barn placement options for her future.
A Foster Win
Our final story features Kaytee, a charismatic calico kitten discovered running loose on the streets. After receiving medical attention, she charmed her foster family with her affectionate personality. When no one claimed this loving kitten, she quickly bonded with the family’s dogs and cats. Her foster family fell completely in love and decided to make her a permanent member of their household. Another successful adoption to celebrate!
